If you love photography and have a passion for capturing a moment in time consider entering CommArts Annual Photography contest. Although this year's contest has already rounded up it's winners you can prepare for next year. Unfortunately for most you won't find a category for best awkward Facebook pose, most unrecognizable as you or most fuzzy cellphone picture in the bathroom mirror. Don't let that stop you though as I am sure the judges will enjoy a good laugh.
This year's competition had 5,520 entries for the judges to review. "The competition was run extremely well," juror Robert Krivicich said. "The fact that we could review over 11,000 images in two days still astounds me." - CommArts.com

We've been busy creating. What else can be said? This site is now over three years old and even though the design and CMS system has held up well over time it is time to update the platform and the design to include more social integration, dynamic features and start scrubbing the site for areas to maximize it's SEO potential. We have always pushed these boundaries for our clients and in doing so we fell a little behind. Fortunately we have our new design ready to be developed. Stay tuned!

CommArts had 4,055 entries submitted to this year's competition which always amazes me even though they said this was a slight drop off from last year. The talent that arises out of these competitions inspires me despite my inability to find the time to enter myself. On their website they quote "I was quite impressed by the sheer volume of submissions in the first round, and while I did see some familiar faces, it was exciting and refreshing to see illustrators I didn't yet know," said juror Cara Llewellyn. "It was inspiring to see so much work that spans so many different genres, styles and techniques in one sitting," juror Brian Lambert added.

If you didn't play the first version of Clockbusters by Veer you are in luck. Not only is the first version available still but a new version "The Sequel" is ready. Now is the time to flaunt your pasty self and your uncanny knowledge of movies acquired over decades of watching them by yourself in the dark while the other kids played outside. Nobody gets you Johnny, nobody - except Veer! Veer understands you've sacrificed the development of social skills, interaction with your species, to fine tune your mind, develop a white pasty skeleton frame with a Cheeto and Dr. Pepper filled belly mimicking the third trimester in order to shine at this moment. So shine on crazy diamond, shine on.
Veer's Clockbusters - Play it!!!!
